Team Terradactyl!
I took this photo this evening at the Theatre that I work at on Saturdays running their youth theatre classes for 4 - 11 year olds. This evening I was there as three of my young participants were organising and hosting a Quiz to raise money for us to go on some kind of group outing. The questions were pretty tricky, I'm not going to lie, and so it's no surprise that my wee team of three - "Team Terradactyl" - came well and truly last. However, we did get an impressive 9 out of 10 on the Science round (seriously!) and we won Easter Eggs for being rubbish in every other respect.
On a nicer note, earlier on in the day I was lucky enough to be treated to a delightful performance for 3 - 5 year olds called The Attic. The piece was created by a lovely friend of mine, Hazel, and it's a real treat full of delicate details and humour, whilst also touching on the subject of loss. I was amazed when the little one next to me piped up "I think maybe her grandpa has died" - the audience may be little but they were completely engaged and invested in this world (as was I - I mean, who doesn't like drinking imaginary tea and eating knitted cakes?). If you are in Scotland and anywhere near a performance, I would urge you to go and see it http://bit.ly/bKWLrv
Lovely!
