Paris-Brest-Paris: Dave

Anyone who has completed the Paris-Brest-Paris ride is entitled to a little smugness on receipt of their medal. Dave here just received his after completing the 2011 event (it takes place every 4 years) in 88 hours and 28 minutes. Did I mention it's a case of riding 1200km in one go?

Coffee with cyclo-chums in Peter's Yard is always a good start to the day.

Less good at the end of the day was missing out on meeting Susan, who I used to work with in old-job, who was back from France briefly. Yesterday was scuppered by spending a couple of hours in the hospital with Mel, then Susan feeling under the weather. Today the fates simply conspired in annoying fashion. She's back off to France tomorrow, so not sure there will even be a chance of a coffee. Pah.
