South Mainland Up Helly Aa

This is my second Shetland Up Helly Aa - went to the one in Lerwick on my first visit here in January 2007. That was spectacular but the Cunningsburgh one tonight in the South Mainland was even more fun - people were smiling at each other (which seems odd to someone who has just arrived from South East England), there were women in the Jarl Squad, and the burning boat was pushed out to sea from Mail Beach. Splendid!
