View West

It has been extremely windy today. But there is something really invigorating about walking along woodland paths with wind blowing against your face and messing up your hair! When I was teaching, a windy day was guaranteed to make the children extra excitable.

Bruce, my friend's cocker spaniel, and I, went for a very breezy walk up to The Knock this afternoon. Although windy, the sun was bright and it really wasn't cold at all. The clouds were scudding across the sky and although I tried to catch Bruce running with his gorgeous spaniel ears flapping out to the side he was just too fast (and of course I don't have a sport setting on my camera for capturing movement).

However, my blip of the day had to be the view out to the West, towards the town of Comrie and to the hills beyond. The colours in the landscape were lovely and I strolled around the area for quite a while enjoying the wind in my hair and watching Bruce nosing under the tussocks, sniffing and snuffling, sometimes having a dig just in case the white rabbit had gone that way!
