Sluuurrrp!
I had a "Sluurrrp" blip late last month, but this one called for the same title.
We made spaghetti last night, Thai style (slightly spicy). Everyone really liked it, so I saved my "recipe."
"Recipe" has to be a general term in Thailand because we don't measure anything. This is about what we came up with...
In a large wok, while two packs of spaghetti noodles are cooking, mix:
1. 60 Baht worth of ground pork, cooked with garlic and onions.
2. Add about 10 tomatoes, chopped into small pieces and mushrooms cut into chunks.
3. Simmer, add about 2 glasses of water and one package of spaghetti seasoning that a generous person from the States sent - thank you!
4. Add one large plastic bag of ketchup and one large plastic bag of orange chili sauce.
5. Add about 2 tablespoons Italian seasoning, 1 teaspoon salt, 2 teaspoons fish sauce, and 1 teaspoon black pepper.
6. Simmer for 20 minutes, taste.
When a few people taste the sauce and give it a thumbs up, you're finished!
(Made exactly 14 plates...the exact number of people we had to feed.)
