Staffordshire and Worcester Canal

Early out in the hope of some great sunrise images, unfortunately the clouds stubbornly refused to alllow the sun to poke through.

I've always been impressed by the engineering that goes in to canals, the structures are a monument to the physical effort of navvies. Whether these leisure ways will still be here in another 50 years is in doubt; funding for British Waterways is much reduced and water seems to be a dwindling resource.

I hope they are.
