...Just a little ... titmouse!
Do any of you remember that little rhyme?
I'm a little teapot
Short and stout
Here is my handle
Here is my spout
When I get all steamed up
Hear me shout
"Tip me over
and pour me out!
And, now you won't be able to get it out of your head, either! Anyway, that is what this morning's little tufted titmouse (baeolophus bicolor) made me think of, especially with that little bead of water on his beak.
The weather was beautiful today, nearly 70 F, so the birds were all off in the woods or wherever they go. As a consequence, the feeders were slow except for first thing this morning - when I was moving too slowly to hoist Big Daddy up for some shots. I took a short walk in the woods after a lunch meeting, but the damned foot was hurting like the devil, so didn't walk long or far.
Thanks for all the comments, hearts, stars yesterday! I haven't seen many deer this year so it was a treat for me to see them, and glad you enjoyed them as well. We have a large deer population here in my part of NJ, but they are wild and fear people so you can't get close to them. I do see them come out of the woods behind our house sometimes, but usually the slightest movement from me spooks them.
Well, it's almost the weekend - yay!
