Wood Duck

A warm but very windy day brought all the joggers and dog walkers out to the park and it was a good thing I didn't take the other car, because the Cranford police were doing spot checks for front license plates and I would have been nabbed for sure.

The ducks were swimming about all happy as can be, but I've never seen a wood duck in person that I could identify, and here was one quite animated and perky. I love the way his head feathers swoop back into a little point; it looks like he's wearing gladiator helmet.

Max is completely pooped out and is hiding under the livingroom chair. I think he's suffering from sensory overload.
