Weather forecasting

A work colleague saw a hanging stone on the outside of a shed while visiting Cornwall.It was called 'John's weather forecasting stone.' I was so amused by the idea, I decided we should replicate it here in our own garden.
While filling the hanging baskets this morning, hubby decided to get creative and this is the result, henceforth, known as 'Bill's weather forecasting pendulum!!' This is how it works.
CONDITION/FORECAST
Stone is wet:Rain
Stone is dry :Not raining
Shadow on Ground:Sunny
White on top :Snow
Can't see stone: Foggy
Swinging stone :Windy
Stone jumping up and down:Earthquake
Stone gone:Tornado
