There's a pile of old newspapers on my desk (I'm a bit of a hoarder).

This is from the 1854 London Illustrated Times, accompanying an article about the 'colossal figures from Aboo Simbel'. These were the centrepiece of the Egyptian display at the Crystal Palace exhibition.

I love the eyes. :-)
