Japan at Cottesloe
Toshio Lezumi from Japan and his Scuplture m.120401 ( thats its name !!) ($aud45,000)
and
Mitsuo Takeuchi also from Japan (transfiguration unite III) ($AUD65,000) are two of the overseas scupltures at this year exhibition.
The simple pilon in the background is the reamains of a pier from many years ago.
Whilst not a scuplture the local council has spent some $AUD 450,000 to restore it as a memory from the past.
The pointed cap on the pilon is there as a discouragement to young swimmers who used to scale the pilon and leap to the ocean below.
