St Dunstan in the East
I wasn't sure I was going to get a blip today as it did nothing but rain all day but the sun popped out for a while and I grabbed my camera and headed off to lunch.
The city is a fascinating place and I seem to find something new every day.
Today I came across St Dunstan in the East church which was largely destroyed in the second world war and the ruins are now a public garden with plants wending their way around the ruins, the walls and the majestic windows have been draped and decorated over time with Virginia creeper and the ornamental vine. I can only imagine how fantastic it will all look once the flowers are out. This really is such a beautiful old place trapped around such large new buildings.
