A Day of Highs and Lows

What a mixed day. It started out not looking like it was going to be good. Stephanie was emailed last night by her boss to say that there was an impromptu team meeting, and she had picked up it was important. It followed on from some redundancies, so we were expecting it to be more of the same.

The meeting came, and it confirmed our suspicions. The usual pollitically correct rubbish wafted around the letter and the meeting, but they are cutting numbers and the three girls that currently do reception are up for the chop. Nice...

Stephanie goes to collect Oliver from school to be given a little letter (usual thought, what has he done now...) No! He is getting a pupil of the week award on Friday! We are both so proud of him. Makes me feel so happy just sat here writing this thinking about it.

So a real mixed day. One thing doesn't make the other one better, but it certainly makes you feel a bit more positive about things.
