Smelling Divine!

PERFUME - If I was to add up just how much I have spent on bottles of perfume, I would probably be shocked at the amount. But, I don't care becuase I love the smell of a lovely perfume.

My first one I remember buying back in the early 70s was Charlie. Then, a couple of years later I adored Rive Gauche, which came in a blue and silver tin. I remember the hot summer of 76 and my favourite then was Eau De Rochas. The early 80s had me sticking of one that I could not bear now - Estee Lauder's Youth Dew YUCK, the smell would give me a sore head now. Late 80s I wore Ysatis by Givenchy, Paloma Picasso, oh and LouLou, do people still wear that one? 90s and I ADORED Samsara, CK One and Coco Chanel. A perfume that I discovered and is still one that I wear nowadays, unlike any of the previous mentioned ones, is Chanel 19. Oh I love that smell! My perfume for my wedding was Hermes Caleche Eau Delicate, and when I smell it now I am transported back to that glorious, hot September day, with the string trio playing Canon in D as I walked through the garden to be married.

There are LOADS more, but rushing out so can't stop to think, these are the ones that spring to mind instantly. My favourite at the moment was this one, introduced to me by a fellow blipper, Strawhouse, who mentioned that she was looking for a special one for her wedding in April and me being nosy wondered what was top of her list. She mentioned this one and when I smelt it I just had to have it and luckily(!) my husband bought it for me for my Christmas. If you get the chance have a sniff of it . . . . . .Mmmmmm
