Dahhhling, don't you know, one has to look one's best at all times? Even if that means clomping up the drive to nursery in a pair of shoes twice the size your feet. Yes, Katie decided she was wearing her new clippycloppies to nursery today (I will add, I only allowed this as she has a permanent pair of outside shoes at nursery, so I knew she had something sensible to play in!)

I told nursery today that she's going to be moving nursery- it's essential now we've moved in the longterm, because of the car, and with all the uncertainty there at the moment to top it off. I got upset, the manager said really nice things about Katie, how she's such a character, so smiley and such a clever chatterbox, and that they'd only let me move her if I promise to bring her back for visits. I got upset again. She told me I had to be the one to tell Katie's keyworker - who I knew Katie is very fond of, turns out it's mutual (actually, the manager did, as she came in the room when we were talking). Katie's so taken to them and they all to her. She told me today "I not want to go school" (she'd asked me if i'd just been to school - university), "I like it nursery. Had nice time at nursery". We'll probably use this nursery as the emergencies/one off situations standby, as they've said that I can bring her back anytime. They've offered to do as much as they can to transition her, writing her routine, her favourite activities etc, and that if needed, they'd send someone down to help with her settling in session.

When I went in to the toddler room, she gave me a big cuddle, and then three of her friends gave me cuddles and came up to chat to me. After nursery I decided we should do something nice together so we went to get a babyccino and chocolate stick. A good way to end the day.
