Day eighty-one: inner child and inspirations
Over the weekend, I went to see the Jim Henson Delta Boyhood Exhibit in Leland, MS. I went with two gals I had met at the lifemapping workshop a few weeks back. We all bonded over our mutual love of Kermit and the Muppets, so we decided that a Muppet Mecca trip was in order! (Jim Henson was born and lived in Leland, MS until he was eight, when his family moved to Maryland).
I really enjoyed getting to know these women better and seeing the tee-tiiny exhibit (my office is just as big). It was fun to explore what was there with other Muppets enthusiasts.
On the way back, one of the gals wanted to stop at a swamp. I have never seen a swamp before, so I was game. It was amazing to me that the seeds on the water would create the illusion of a paved road. I imagined Jim Henson playing around these swamps as a child. The swamp made me think of the beginning of "The Muppet Movie".
Here's to the inner child in us and the memories that inspire us.
