the Ossirory

The Ossirory (Bone Church) is in Kunta Hora, about 70 km east of Prague in the Czech Republic. A lovely little town which is a Unesco heritage site.. with a bit of a Macabre twist. The graveyard of this church had apparently been given a special blessing and lots of people wanted to be buried there... and they ran out of space in the graveyard.. so they started using the bones to decorate the crypt . Apparently there are the bones of up to 40,000 people here.... Cremation is looking much more desirable in my eyes...
