School

On wednesday mornings I go to the village school and listen to the year 1 and year 2 children who have a problem with learning to read. Sometimes it is their attitude that is wrong and sometimes they just need someone to listen and help them. I am at school for about 80 minutes but it passes in a flash. This morning a little girl, who has been really struggling, gave me a big hug and said that the hug was for listening and helping her. Today for the first time she read (and wanted to read) the whole of her reading book. I felt like a marshmallow inside.
