Strong
sunshine again. An odd day: I thought I had it all planned, but many things changed as the day unfolded, mainly for the better.
Still inspired by Arnold Strode-Jackson. He was an undergraduate when he broke off from a fishing holiday in Norway to compete in the 1912 Stockholm Olympics - one of the last men to enter as a private citizen. He broke the world record and took Gold at 1500m. He earned the DSO and 3 bars in the Great War.
I'd like to have known him.
