Catching the morning rays
Lovely sunrise this morning as I was getting ready to leave.
This kestrel sat for some time checking out the surrounding area from his vantage point. There is an old owl box in the pear tree she is sitting on and after a while she went to check that out too. She did the same last year and obviously decided against it as a nest site (it doesn't have a suitable perch near the entrance) so I can't really see her nesting the this year either but you never know.
Just finished getting the pc up and running again after new hard drive installed. It's so nice to have it back..
I have to prepare a talk on Parkinson's for a group of sixth formers tomorrow so I'd better go - oh and the cat has just brought in another mouse...
