Bromeliads

We have a lot of bromelids growing in the garden. I confess to not knowing much about them, apart from their natural habitat being rainforests. Which is very appropriate at the moment as we have had a lot of rainfall over the last few weeks.
It has been raing a lot today and I just got this shot as the sun briefly came out and provided some good backlighting.
