Did anyone order dominoes?

Another classic rotten weather day. Unending rain, cold and very windy. Forced to stand out in it for twenty minutes this afternoon meant a complete change when I arrived home. It can only get better now.

So a low day for photography too, hence the dominoes. Emma loves playing this game, as well as snap, beat your neighbours, clock patience and pelmanism (no relation to shamanism:)).

She tells me nobody else in her class knows how to play dominoes, which if I can believe it, is a little sad, as I remember growing up playing it - and a number of other board games, such as ludo.

It did make me look up dominoes, which most people now only associate with pizzas! Apparently their are a multitude of different games that can be played with a set. We used the common double-six set, but there are many other configurations, for example, the double 12 or even the double 18 sets, the latter containing 190 tiles!

I think I'll stick with the double-sex.
