getting ready

Today I went to the studio and got some scarves and paintings ready to take to the Justus Gallery in Hot Springs for the First Friday Artwalk. It was good to do some actual work in the studio, although I had a few bad moments when I realized how truly filthy it is. I will need to do some serious cleaning to be comfortable there. But my trusty table got me through, sheesh, I love that thing.

Later we will drive to Rogers and then Hot Springs tomorrow afternoon, a total of about seven hours (from Kansas City). It's a long way to go but I am excited (and nervous) to talk to people about my work.
