Forth Sunset

This is a view from the Forth Road Bridge looking south west across the Forth.

There is a small island just over half-way up the left hand side of the picture, and if you look carefully you can see something that looks vaguely circular. That is a mechanical digger. I can't swear to it, but I think that this island has expanded significantly since the start of work on the new replacement Forth crossing... is it possible that this is one of the islands on which the new bridge's supports will be built?
