Spinners Arms

Back to Eccles for another Monday morning Manchester Pub. The brick building just beyond is the Bird In Hand.

Slightly unusual that the Spinners Arms displays no brewery sign, implying it isn't a tied house and yet it doesn't claim to be a free house. I don't know that I have come across a free house previously that didn't proclaim the fact.

Also slightly unusual is the number of TV aerials; 2 on the near chimney (both most out of shot), 1 on the roof, 2 on the far chimney and two more on the roof of the Bird In Hand - there are also two satellite TV dishes on the front wall.
