All his eggs in one basket

Speedy has had a good weekend and good week in fact.

Yesterday's cross country win and last weeks announcement of a new Scottish record were only the start.

Today was the u14 Indoor Scottish Championships and he had opted only to enter the High Jump! We were a bit nervous as the day went on that he should have had a go at the Hurdles and long jump as a podium place would have bee likely in both.

But it paid of for him as he went in to the competition with fresh legs and rose to the occasion equaling his own Scottish Indoor record and Personal Best with a fantastic jump of 1m 60cm. Really glad his Grandpa was there to see it as well.

The professional photographer didn't ask the 2nd and 3rd placed boys to stand up beside Seedy on the podium as he had done will all the others, I wonder if it was so as not to emphasis too much how much bigger they both were - made me laugh he may be the shortest in the competition but he can jump higher than the rest.
