I wanted to incorporate the shoes AND flag into my picture somehow and tried many different shots where the flag was in the background, not completely blurred out but noticeable to the viewer. This perspective, from the floor, seemed to work well.

The flag is stuck onto the door on the left-hand-side, just above and left of the shoes?if you're wondering ;)

In post-processing, I have maxed out the clarity and added a soft vignette to give it a 'steely' look. Finally, a faded filter to match the colour in the shoes and flag.
