Gallileo Thermometer

My first Blip!

Was hoping to get a few hours to get out today only to be confronted with persistent cold rain. Decided to look around for something to create something from. The large Gallileo Thermometer sits normally where it doesn't get too much light (it's out of the way so not a target for uncoordinated teenagers!). Moved it into the conservatory and got in close with my 100mm Macro and 2x converter.

The distortion because of the numerous curved glass surfaces along with the colours create an unreal but colourful image. You can see the battleship grey skies behind!
