Eyes to the Left

I was chuckling reading Daily Wanderings write up yesterday. It was all about young people and their layers of make-up. A little later on I was flicking through a Femme Fatale book in search of inspiration. My girl scowled and I knew, despite having taken her for a practice driving session, there was no point in even asking!

One shot of LIz Hurley caught my eye as she had uber make-up and teased hair. Now lets be straight - I do not look an insy bit like Miss Hurley. I don't even know if I would want to. But the image struck a chord and led me to the bathroom to see what horrific disfiguration I could achieve. Again I chose the soft focus shot - the full focus can be seenhere.

What a glorious afternoon the sky was blue the light and clouds were gorgeous and the chill in the air was a delight. My girl and I were in the car with Ella Fitzgerald singing all about the birds and bees and falling in love. Bliss. Sadly I was too busy to enjoy it all afternoon, but I did savour the few moments I had.

Nature doesn't need all those layers of filler and paste, even if we sometimes feel the need for them.
