CAFOD Lent Fast Day envelope
On the front of this envelope is Zimi, 10, from Zimbabwe. You can find more about CAFOD's Lent Fast Day, and Zimi, here.
Zimi used to spend most of her spare time collecting water, but thanks to the new borehole that CAFOD has helped install in her village, she now has time to play with her friends.
Every hour, 194 people die because of dirty water and poor sanitation.
Every 20 seconds, a child dies because of dirty water.
884 million people do not have access to clean water and safe sanitation.
This Lent, the UK Government has agreed to match, £1 for £1, every donation given to CAFOD's Lent appeal.
(If you would like to donate, you can do so here.)
