Back to the Fifties!

Had a busy day yesterday so this is a 'backblip'. I was at the hall for 9am helping to set up for an evening with a 50's theme. By mid-day the hall was transformed, then just time for lunch before making a pile of sandwiches in the afternoon and back to the hall with the food. The focus of the evening was a very good presentation by a pair of ladies who call themselves the History Wardrobe. The idea is to 'teach' history through fashion which they do in a very entertaining way. The blip shows a display of some of the items they used as references including books which gave advice on how to be a good wife - nothing written for the men!
The tables were groaning with food we had all prepared, far too much as usual. It was a nice way to spend an evening with a lot of neighbours. Now it's early Sunday morning and I'm off to help clear up.
