Ogmore by Sea

Today was just wonderful :)

Went to a prayer breakfast this morning with some girls from church, and then after that we headed off to Ogmore by Sea. After a speedy train and bus journey, we were in the middle of nowhere with a map and feeling rather excited. It was just so nice to be in the middle of the countryside, and on such a beautiful day!
Our walk consisted of a somewhat bizarre compilation of occurances/sights/moments:
- An over-friendly horse.
- Lots of sheep.
- Casually walking across a golf course.
- An incredibly muddy incline, on which clinging to thistle-bushes for support became a necessity.
- A sewerage site...
- A ruined castle.
- Sarah crossing a river via stepping stones.
- A wind/rain tunnel, albeit brief.
- Beth and I quoting Shakespeare, accompanied by Sarah on the harmonica.
- Consuming 3 kitkat chunkies (I had to keep my strength up).
- Absolutely breath-taking cliffs and views of the sea.
- A very welcome cup of tea whilst sitting on the beach.
- A well-meaning but overly friendly old man on the bus making questionable observations.

I couldn't pick a single photo, but I think these sum up the day rather well :)
