Bonne Anniversaire!

This is all that's left of the marbled chocolate cake. We went up to Mags tonight to catch up with Wi-fi's younger brother who was over from France. It was his 23rd birthday yesterday, so I managed to remember how to spell "Bonne Anniversaire", pop a few candles on the cake and we all sang a wee chorus of Happy Birthday to him.

We had a lovely time tonight despite Mag's dad being taken into hospital early yesterday morning. I think the highlight of the evening was reading in French, from "Les Trois Musquetaires". We all took turns reading while Wi-fi and her brother took some video to send back to France. Needless to say, their hands were shaking during the whole time. Mr Mags amazed us all by managing different character voices to go with his schoolboy French! I've always wished I could be bi-lingual - not fussy what the other language would be, but would just love to be able to jump between the two.

New table and chairs arrived today for the dining room- still need assembled so house more of a bomb-site than usual!
