Messy work!

Beautiful day today with the prospect of rain tomorrow.

Two jobs needing to be done whilst the weather is decent, so division of labour decreed that I do the garden and B starts to strip off the old polish on the next chair restoration project. Before

This is the really tedious time consuming dirty part, it get more interesting when you get to staining and polishing.

The seat and back have sheet cane which needs replacing and I have arranged to meet up with my caning tutor on Thursday to see how it is done. I will take out the old damaged cane, so that the frames can be repaired and repolished. When that is complete I will have another session with her to be taught to insert the new cane.

We will reassemble the chair and hope that the owners like it!!!
