We set off in pursuit of hares, but no luck there. However, the evning walk was a great success in so many other ways. The rain gave way to late sunshine, resulting in a super rainbow. We saw many different birds and heard many more different bird songs. We found a badger sett (probably) and spotted this heron posing in the topmost branches of a tree as the light turned crepuscular.
