Timbeeeeeeeeeer!

And finally, the crappy tree that suddenly leaped into a teenage-growth spurt last year (prompting much muttering about the lack of light in our flat/life), has received its comeuppance! Typically, the "professionals" who were awarded the contract make a bit of a pig's bum of the whole thing, managing even to pick the one day when the snow pelted down like something else. Still, when they started slicing the trunk, it was relieving to see that the tree was determined to damage the other building (the house is essentially two houses - one building in a U shape) rather than ours...hooray!
It's much lighter now, and if the wind blows as it tends to this week, we don't have to worry about broken windows!
