How many dogs on L. S. Lowry beach?

L. S. Lowry is famous for painting scenes of life in the industrial districts of Northern England during the early 20th century. He had a distinctive style of painting and is best known for urban landscapes peopled with human figures often referred to as "matchstick men". In later years, Lowry spent many long holidays at the Seaburn Hotel in Sunderland, painting scenes of this beach. The dogs look a bit Lowryish to me.

There was 3 people walking 9-yes, 9 dogs together. There are 5 dogs in the picture I think. One dog was sand coloured so it could be there.
