Tummy Time
Rebecca was so close to rolling over herself again today. I'm sure she'll do it again soon. She can wriggle forwards a little on her tummy too! And she moves so much. The other night we were woken by her mobile starting up. She had moved herself round enough in the cot to hit the button with her foot. It went on and off several times.
I got Rebecca weighed today, she's 14lb 7oz. Elizabeth didn't reach this weight until 22 weeks. Rebecca is 16 weeks! I have started putting her in 6-9 month vests. Her 3-6 month clothes all still fit fine though.
Day 2 of dummy weaning was hard work. I was still letting her suck on my finger when I put her down for her first nap, but she was taking so long that I started to lose feeling in my arms. I had to let her cry it out for a little bit. She cried for about 3 minutes, while I held her hand and sang softly to her. Then she fell asleep and slept for 30 minutes.
I got another nap of about 15 minutes the same way later on. But all the other times I tried putting her down, she would start to smile and chat, so I gave up and brought her downstairs.
At bedtime she was out in seconds! I hope she sleeps ok after all that. Still planning to let her have the dummy overnight until we have an Elizabeth-free night. But I might try piercing holes in the dummies, aparently that works too.
EDIT: She did roll over again this evening, although she didn't get her hand out from under her, so there were some tears of frustration. She did it while I was in the kitchen though.
