Camellia

The large camellia shrub in my garden is laden with buds. It is in a south-west position and partly sheltered by a low wall on one side and the house itself to the north.

The shrub has been in that location for many years, and it is always a joy to see it when the buds eventually open out into their pink blooms.

But it is a surprise to see a bud so advanced so early in March.

I hope there isn't a hard frost still to come
