Red Bellied Black Snake
I finally got away from a mountain of tax paperwork this afternoon to go for a walk along the beach and clear my head.... but this little fellow made me change my direction very quickly. I had only just started down the pathway when I saw him and froze. I made my self stop long enough to get the camera out and snap a couple of shots and then made a hasty retreat, a little shaken up. I didn't have time to put the zoom lens on unfortunately. They are classed as "Dangerous, Potentially Lethal".
I got back in the car and decided to head to Pippi Beach for my walk but the grass on the walkway down to the beach was rather longer than usual, due to all the wet weather, so I didn't really enjoy that - still shaken from my close encounter I think! Then when I went to take a couple of shots at Pippi, I realized the camera had been on the Macro setting when I took the photo of the snake!! #/+##
Then I dropped my sunglasses in the sand!!
It was blowing a gale!! The other beach would have been protected from the southerly!!
Then I decided to give up and go home !!
Then, when I got home, I got a bottle of gingerale out of the fridge and dropped it - it went everywhere of course - so then I had to mop the floor!!!
I think you'll have the picture by now - need I say more, except perhaps that I'm going to soon have something stronger than ginger ale!!
