Sketch no. 30 - charcoal - silverbirches

Every night on my way home from the train station I pass a beautiful patch of silver birch trees. They always stand out so perfectly in the dark.

This was a bit of an experiment. I really need a white chalk to pick out the highlights, but I searched the house high and low, looking in all those 'odd bits and bobs' boxes and tins, and couldn't find a single piece. Mad considering I used to be a school teacher!

Oh well - I'll procure some somehow, and revisit this at a later stage :)
