Leap Day
Today is 4 times more special than any other day as it only appears once every 4 years. I was due to be born on this day 28 years ago but I appeared 3 days later. It's traditionally seen as a time that didn't really exist and therefore women could break tradition and propose to the man they love. To soften the blow of being refused, any man saying no was to pay the woman a fine whether that be 12 pairs of glove, a silk gown, £100 or a kiss (depending on which country's traditions you follow). I took advantage of my one day in one thousand, four hundred and sixty one and got fruit plants for my garden so it wasn't a total loss.
It was our first meeting of the Elemental Group this evening. We only got a small turn out but the people that did come were fantastic, they were energetic, willing to play silly games and even came along to the pub to socialise afterwards. Looking forward to seeing who comes back on Sunday! I hadn't got any photos earlier in the day so this is B's earcuff. I love it, it's so beautiful and feathery.
