It's a sign...
Literally!!
New shoes!!
And spring!!
Today, for the first time this year, it actually felt like spring.
The blossom is starting to appear, the daylight seems to be hanging around for a bit longer in the evenings and my mood is somehow lifted by that. I am seriously beginning to consider the prospect that I have some sort of SAD thing going on. I always thought those sorts of labels were just a fancy way of saying you were a crabbit bugger when it's winter but I'm actually starting to think there may be some truth in it and maybe it's worth investigating? I don't know if things that happen are coincidental in their timing that every time I've felt pretty low it's been during the winter months rather than in summer time. I wonder if you can be tested for SAD?
Soon the clocks will spring forward and give us even more light and that means that I don't leave home in the dark and get home in the dark.
Big rant about working till 6pm every night deleted!
It's always just nice to come out of the greyness of January and February! Roll on April! I'm having a holiday and it's my birthday month! Hurrah!
In other news I hurt today! Given that it's probably about 30 years since I've done a somersault... far less several... even though they were in the water, I hurt! My back is sore and I've had this weird smell thing going on all day... I think there was so much swimming pool up my nose last night my tubes still smell of chlorine! It's not pleasant... on weighing up the pros and cons, I don't think I nose clip will be any more pleasant!! I suspect I need to practice the breathing thing so that I'm breathing out just before my face hits the water!
