Heather in macro
Not been well this last week. Got an infection in the right eardrum, less than pleasant I can well assure you. With cloudy skies my usual close to home blip of the moon has been elusive of late so I tried out the Nikon 50mm f1.8 with 3 extension rings on the D7000 today. Not the easiest to use, VERY shallow depth of field but some real magnification too. I reckon even my actual macro lens cant get in this close. This is a heather in my front garden, those little buds are less than 1mm in size and this shot fills the frame of a 16.2mp image, no cropping. Little burst of flash from the SB800 mounted on the camera to help it along. Looking forward to trying this out more.
