Our neighbourhood - Forchtenstein Castle

The only fortress in the region that was never captured during the Turkish Wars. Parts of the building complex date from the Middle Ages. The actual castle was built in the 17th century.
There are permanent and seasonal exhibitions and events, and parts of the castle are still inhabited by the Esterházy Counts, who owe it.
