Rowan Norway

Woke up a low rumbling outside the window. Open the curtains and here's what we saw; The Rowan Norway jack-up rig being towed out into the North Sea.

The Rowan Norway jack-up rig has been in Dundee since September last year, and it's been an ever present view for us.

The Rig's new and has been in Dundee for set up before it heads out to the new Bentley Oil Field in the north sea, which is presumably where it's on it's way to.

I'm not sure what the problem was, but last sunday it looked like it was ready to leave; all the tugs were in place and the rig floated just before high-water but nothing happened until this morning.

It's an amazing sight; which we've i've blipped twice before here and here . Nearly 200m high, these things are huge!!
