Goodbyes

Today we said our final goodbyes to my mum. It was a beautiful service in our village church. The church dates back to Norman times and there is something quite humbling about being in a church which dates back over 1000 years. The vicar was fantastic and did a very relaxed service for us. My kids did me proud, J carried a photo of his Grandma which he placed on the casket and B hand tied some flowers herself which were placed by the photo. This is the SONG that we entered and left the church by.

The wake went well. As always I didn't get to speak to anyone for as long as I would have liked to, but it was lovely that so many people took the time to come.

Many thank for the good wishes that I have received from people on here over the last few weeks. I'm sorry that I haven't been able to thank everyone, but it has been appreciated greatly and you are wonderful people.
