Turtle Triumph

Occasionally turtle eggs hatch along Playa La Ropa and the little guys head for the relative safety of the nearby ocean. When they come out during the heat of the day, they need assistance making the perilous journey across the burning sand or the majority of them perish. When they emerge at dusk (or I imagine at night), they are more able to survive on their own - like the one shown here who successfully found his, or her, way to the sea. Hopefully, it will grow all the way into an adult and in time be able to add its own eggs to our beach.
