Flock of Robins
Just as the sun was setting I noticed a flock of American Robins swoop down on the neighbor's ivy. The untended ivy has been producing those ugly berries. The robins love them. It's worth having these unsightly berries 365 days of the year so the robins can have a snack. I've never noticed them before. I hope they come back.
This brought to mind an incident when I was a child. Our pyracantha dropped its berries which fermented. The robins gorged then flew around wildly, running into windows, staggering, getting up and eventually flying away. No one was permanently injured. I think they were too relaxed.
Not the best picture. But the best picture of today.
