Growing old disgracefully

OUTSIDE LOOKING IN

I have always loved looking in other people's windows at night. It isn't nosiness - (OK, it's not entirely nosiness) it's that sense of the welcoming light, the lamp in the window, the signal to the traveller, the homeliness that draw me in. However, I thought it would be a bit intrusive to take a picture through someone else's window, so here is ours instead. Looks a bit dull, tho, no half prepared chicken or exotic vegetables, no home grown herbs on display and worst of all, the chef who graces the kitchen is absent.

I am aware I have not been rather dull in my photography recently. I am finding it hard to get the time to sit down and learn some new stuff about my DSLR. I am aware that the gap between how I see the image and how I represent is vast. I know the bridge across the gap is learning more about the camera, but there is this wee resistance to getting technical when all I want to do is look and notice.
